What makes the Lancaster 155 unique: Today, we’re thrilled to present you this remarkable watch originally manufactured by the Hamilton Watch Company in 1931 — the Lancaster 155. This historic timepiece boasts a cream-colored dial with bold, tawny numerals along with a matching “Hamilton” label. The dial also features a stunning circular pattern underneath its numerals and a distinct subdial that brings even more style to the front of the watch. Finally, the dial features blue-tinted gothic hands. We encased this one-of-a-kind piece within our robust Machined Titanium case and paired it with a nickel-plated crown. On the back of the watch, you can view the timepiece’s breathtaking 912-grade open-face movement with a nickel finish, black inlay color, and pendant setting. The movement also features a reed regulator as well as gold-plated gears spinning on 17 screw-set jewels. To top off the final product, we equipped it with our comfortable, artisan-designed Rye leather watch strap, perfectly complementing the watch’s beautiful style.
The Hamilton Watch Company initially produced the Lancaster 155’s pocket watch in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, in 1931 — the same year that Thomas Edison submitted his final patent shortly before his diabetes-related death. At the time of his passing, Edison held the world record for the most patents, totaling 1093. His patents included various inventions involving the phonograph, telegraph, electricity, batteries, and more innovations. Although Edison is still one of the most prolific inventors of all time, he no longer holds the record for the most patents. As of 2022, Japanese inventor Shunpei Yamazaki holds the record with 6046 patents.
