This is a 1940s era clutch purse made of leather that is pressed to resemble alligator skin. The purse has a flap that snaps closed - the snap reads Waterbury Fastr Co. The interior has five compartments, two of them zippered. The purse, closed, measures 8 1/2 in height and 15 in width, following the bottom. It is in very good condition with signs of use and with some edge wear, including a tiny edge tear at the left side of the flap crease. There is some lightening of the colour on the closure tab and to the underside, a fairly minor issue. Despite the small condition problems, this is a lovely 40a era clutch purse - very classy!
